About David Brani

My engineering career has been well-served by three particular aspects: a strong academic base, familiarity working in industrial and construction environments, and personal hands-on experience.

After receiving a Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology, I worked for 11 years as a tenured faculty member. Teaching mechanical engineering principals has enhanced my strong understanding of the fundamentals of engineering.

I am comfortable working in both industrial and construction environments. I began my engineering career on the shop floor at Lockheed Georgia. As an investigator, I have conducted machine safeguarding investigations for Poultry Processing facilities and a wide variety of manufacturing facilities.

In the construction environment, I investigate safety incidents and allegations of defective construction practices. My work in these areas is enhanced by my ability to effectively communicate with various trades including engineers, fabricators, installers, and general laborers. This work has required my presence at various sites including residential and commercial projects.

A valuable asset for the development of my academic training and ability to work in industrial and construction environments has been my passion for performing my own home improvements and automotive repair. These hobby activities have included completing structural, electrical, and plumbing projects.
